Azores – In the middle

Again I choose the Boogietrips Bodyboard Holidays on the Azores to enjoy a little bit of summer in the middle of the grey and cold transition between autumn and winter at home. To postpone the end of summer for a little bit. And what kind of a sunny trip it was.

Last Stop: Surfing under the Rainbow (Azores)

Autumn and winter are just around the corner, time to expand the summer a little bit more and to round off my long timeout with surfing at the Azores.

Turning Point and Back (Portugal's Middle)

(4363 – 6633 km)

The green centre of Portugal is not so green anymore and how far south will I go, because it's time to start thinking about the return journey.

Like in the old days (Portugal's north)

(3798 – 4362 km)

The clock is set back an hour and not only beaches are waiting for me. A national park with its mountains puts my campervan to the test.

First Stop: Surfing is no indoors sport (Portugal)

Actually I had a different intention. First destination on my time-out trip was Portugal. I had planned to take a step back from the daily grind and to improve my surfing in a technical and physical way for my Atlantic road trip. But the weather also exists.

Discover Azores with Boogietrips

Nic from Boogietrips offers besides the Algarve adventure also a surf trip to the Azores. I booked the trip this year for the first week of November. Michel, who was also with us on the Algarve tour, was also at the party and brought along five of his colleagues.

The Algarve Adventure with Boogietrips

For a couple of years now I’ve been visiting Sintra in Portugal on a regular basis to bodyboard. I stay with the surf school Sintrasurf and surf the Lisbon/Sintra area with bodyboard coach Nicolas Rosner.
