In the valley of wine and castles (Loire)
Summer and time off are coming to an end. Once again, I start the engine to get to know a new piece of France for a few days.
Summer and time off are coming to an end. Once again, I start the engine to get to know a new piece of France for a few days.
It's time for the hustle and bustle of the city. From nature back to the hectic pace of life. After four months of quiet life on the beach and in the countryside, it's time to head to Paris for a few days.
(2441 – 2860 km)
Once again the landscape changes. The Pyrenees mountains appear on the horizon as the sandy beach and dunes slowly disappear. The architecture differs from the Cote d'Argent. Red and green are the dominant colours. The Basque Country.
(2131 – 2440 km)
As soon as I arrive on the ferry, it's clear that France is different from here on. The country is flat, I drive dead straight through pine forests. The next time surfing should be in focus and lead me along the Silver Coast to the Basque Country. 230 km of almost continuous sandy beach is to explore.
(1252 – 2130 km)
The West is explored, all works in the base camp are done. Time to start going southwards onto the long run of my road trip.
(0 – 1251 km)
Everything is packed, the car is filled up, I turn the ignition key and the trip starts. The known disappears behind the last turn, the new awaits after the next bend.
My basecamp for the road trip is located in the Bretagne, nearby Dinan. Here starts my road trip with the camping car, but first some last preparations have to be finished.
